A century ago, Kong Yen used Hinoki barrels in brewing. Follow with the automatic system, Hinoki barrel turned to used in storage. Nowadays, the brewing technique is based on automatic system with traditional pure culture mode. From the first steaming to the final producing process, Kong Yen requests to improve its quality by science technology for each step.

Kong Yen Tamshui factory, 108,000 square feet wide, was built in 1983. The completed arrangement, spacious environment, systemized process, and simplified employments were the advantages of Tamshui factory. Due to its professional, Tamshui factory also got GMP certificate in vinegar brewing and bean paste producing in July, 1991.
