Kong Yen, like a beautiful melody, has been chanted for over half a century. All the inhabitants with reminiscence in Zhu-Nan will never forget” Wan Dai Grocery Store” selling the grocery and Chinese dispensation. You might never know this little shop run by Mr. Hsu Wan Dai was definitely the very beginning of Kong Yen.

Kong Yen Foods Co. Ltd. Was built in 1941 in brewing research field. Occasionally, Mr. Hsu’s third child met Dr. T. Katsuda, the consultant both in Industrial Research Institute and Kong Yen Food Co., Ltd., for brewing technique study. Since Taiwan’s restoration, family Hsu bought and took the operation rights from Kong Yen Foods Co., Ltd. Japan for dedicating acetobacter separated technique research. Finally, Kong Yen had invented superior and tasty rice vinegar.

In all Kong Yen employee’s efforts, Kong Yen had developed rice vinegar, black vinegar, good health vinegar, miso, curry, sauce, and cordyceps sinensis mycelium series merchandises. Kong Yen strongly insisted in pure brewing, honor operating, professional training, deep study in brewing technique, and modern facility to improve its quality for customers. Moreover, how to train the top talent and technique combining with new products domestic selling and exporting to benefit our customers will bee Kong Yen’s first principle.
